The extension and deep retrofit of a flat in Walthamstow Village.

A basement extension and deep retrofit using low-carbon construction materials and techniques whilst respecting and restoring the building's original character. Adding an extra bedroom and expanded open-plan living space, this renovation also includes a high level of insulation throughout, a natural swimming pool, rainwater harvesting and a green roof.

Working closely with the clients, this project has allowed us to test many new, low-carbon, construction materials and techniques.
